Interview Guide
Section 1: Early Life & Educational Journey
Objective: Explore formative experiences, academic choices, and cultural transitions.
- Let’s start with your roots, what was life like growing up in Bangladesh?
Prompt for storytelling about early influences.
When I was in my school I first realize I have a deep passion for business Learning. In 2019 when I studied Ahasanullah University of Science and Technology I come to know about the social business conference in Thailand hosted by Nobel laureate prof. Muhammad Yunus. I have joined there and get motivated from more business studies. After that I started my research and published my first research ( Empowering Change: The impact of Micro-credit on social business development ).
- What led you to study Finance initially, and later pivot to Management Information Systems in Los Angeles?
Unpack academic evolution.
As I’m passionate for business I started learn finance. When hackers siphoned nearly $81 million from Bangladesh Bank’s U.S. reserves via the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 2016 and that always strikes into my head. So I started to learn information technology so that I can contribute my knowledge in country banking system . As you know in Bangladesh you can’t switch Business to IT. That’s why after graduating I came U.S. to pursue my MBA in Management information System from International American Univercity to learn more about IT and how it works in real business field. Like I published “Machine Learning-Based Detection and Analysis of Suspicious Activities in Bitcoin Wallet Transactions in the USA”
Section 2: Research & Innovation
Objective: Highlight technical achievements, challenges, and intellectual passions.
- “You’ve patented a business optimization device and copyrighted an AI analytics system. What problems do these solve?”
Discuss innovation impact
My patented business optimization device addresses the need for efficient, real-time decision-making in financial environments by providing a dedicated hardware terminal for AI-driven tasks like risk assessment and fraud detection. This solves the problem of fragmented analytical workflows, allowing analysts to interact securely with machine learning models without relying on generalized computing systems. Meanwhile, your copyrighted AI analytics system enhances data processing and model interpretability, tackling issues of transparency and reliability in automated financial forecasting. Together, they reduce operational delays and improve accuracy in high-stakes financial decisions. By integrating specialized hardware with advanced AI, these innovations bridge the gap between algorithmic insight and practical business application. Ultimately, they empower institutions to adopt AI more confidently and effectively in daily operations.
- “Out of your 23+ research papers, which one feels most personal or transformative?”
Prompt emotional connection.
Among my 23+ research papers, the one that feels most personal and transformative is "Public Health, Risk Perception, and Governance Challenges in the 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires: Evidence from a Community-Based Survey." This work is deeply personal because I was in Los Angeles during the catastrophic Palisades and Eaton Fires, witnessing the orange-hazed skies and the palpable fear in the community. The experience transformed me from a distant researcher into an empathetic witness, as I collected data directly from survivors who had lost homes, breathed toxic smoke, and grappled with profound psychological distress. Hearing their stories—of evacuation, loss, and a shaken trust in government response—forged an emotional connection that statistics alone could never capture. This project became a mission to amplify their voices and translate raw, human suffering into actionable evidence for change. It transformed my understanding of resilience, highlighting not just policy gaps, but the incredible strength of communities willing to rebuild and prepare together. The memory of standing with residents in affected neighborhoods, survey in hand, amidst the ashes of their lives, is a poignant reminder of why we do this work. This paper is not just a publication; it is a testament to shared trauma and a collective hope for a more resilient future. It fundamentally shaped my commitment to community-centered research that bridges the gap between academic inquiry and human need.
- Impactful Research paper, which may get more citation ?
The research paper titled "Harnessing artificial intelligence to strengthen green innovation capacity in pursuit of sustainable development goals: Evidence from Taiwan’s manufacturing sector" has strong potential to become highly cited due to its timely focus on AI-driven sustainability within a high-tech manufacturing context. By empirically validating the mediating role of green innovation capabilities between AI adoption and organizational performance, it offers actionable insights for both policymakers and industry leaders. The study's grounding in Dynamic Capabilities Theory and its use of robust PLS-SEM methodology enhance its academic credibility and relevance. Furthermore, its alignment with key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 9, 12, and 13) broadens its appeal across environmental, technological, and economic research communities. As AI and green innovation continue to gain global attention, this research provides a valuable framework for understanding how digital transformation can support sustainable industrial growth, positioning it as a significant contribution to interdisciplinary literature.
